Caterpillar driverless mining truck development history

Caterpillar, the world's largest manufacturer of construction machinery and mining equipment, has been a leader in the field of unmanned mining trucks since it launched the automated mining dump truck in 1996. After years of development, Caterpillar's CAT® MineStarTM autonomous driving system has been widely used around the world, supporting 15 customers' unmanned truck operations and transporting more than 6.3 billion tons of materials in total.
