Diversity and Functional Analysis of Independent Suspension

221
Independent suspension mainly consists of three parts: elastic components, shock absorbers and guide mechanisms. The connecting rod structure in the guide mechanism plays a key role in the effective connection between the wheel and the suspension. According to the number of connecting rods, independent suspension can be divided into McPherson, double wishbone and multi-link types. McPherson suspension is often used as the front suspension due to its simple structure and small space occupation; double wishbone suspension is suitable for sports cars due to its strong lateral rigidity; and multi-link suspension is usually used in mid-to-high-end family cars due to its complex structure and excellent comfort.
