Recently, a piece of news about a carmaker asking suppliers to reduce prices by 10% has attracted widespread attention. Previously, Bosch China President Chen Yudong revealed that he received a knife engraved with "cut the Gordian knot" from the general manager of Geely's parts procurement company, hoping that Bosch would cooperate in reducing prices. In response, Chen Yudong said that the knife was real and the person who gave him the knife was a good brother, but the purpose of giving him the knife was not to reduce prices, but to hope that he could handle matters decisively. Yang Xueliang, senior vice president of Geely Holding Group, also clarified on social media that the knife was used to solve problems, not to bargain.
