UMC has been operating its wafer manufacturing plant in Singapore for more than 20 years

UMC's 12-inch wafer manufacturing plant in Singapore has been in operation for more than 20 years. In February 2022, UMC announced that it would expand a new advanced wafer fab at its Fab12i site in Singapore, and the new plant is expected to start mass production in early 2025.
