According to EVTank data, China's base station energy storage battery shipments reached 18.6GWh in 2023, of which lithium-ion battery shipments were 11.5GWh, a year-on-year increase of 7.5%. This growth was mainly due to the demand for 5G base station construction and 4G base station transformation. However, due to the decline in battery prices, the market size of energy storage batteries for communication base stations in China fell by 25.5% year-on-year.
