On the evening of November 27, Dongchedi issued a statement confirming that the Zeekr 7X tailgate did use plastic and metal materials. Dongchedi explained that the use of injection molded tailgates was based on multiple considerations such as lightweight body, low manufacturing cost, and high plasticity. At the same time, Dongchedi also admitted that the stamping process and application of aluminum tailgates are wide, but it is difficult to use aluminum molding for some vehicle shapes, and not all models are suitable for use.
