Nissan no longer sells hybrid vehicles in the U.S. due to fierce market competition. However, hybrid vehicles play an important role for brands such as Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and even Ford, which puts Nissan at a disadvantage in the competition of internal combustion engine powertrains.
