BYD Intelligent Driving Team Integration, Key Personnel Changes

It is reported that following the integration of BYD's intelligent driving team in October, Xu Lingyun, head of BYD's Tianxuan team, has resigned in early November. Internal sources pointed out that Yang Zhen will be the head of perception of BYD's self-developed team, and Liu Yi, who joined Xiaopeng, will be in charge of regulation and control. Xu Lingyun previously worked at Xiaopeng Motors, DJI Car and HiPhi, and joined BYD in September 2023 as the head of the self-developed perception team. In the middle of this year, BYD established two intelligent driving teams, Tianxuan and Tianlang, which were respectively led by Xu Lingyun and Li Feng, the former director of the software center of the fifth business unit. The former is for high-end solutions and the latter is for mid- and low-end solutions. The two teams completed their integration in October this year, and it is expected that the self-developed intelligent driving will be initially implemented in the middle of next year.
