Japanese automakers cut production capacity in China to cope with BYD competition

Faced with BYD's price war, the two Japanese automakers plan to cut production in China. Nissan is considering cutting its production capacity in China by 30%, while Honda plans to cut by 20%. Nissan's annual production capacity may be reduced from 1.6 million vehicles to 1.1 million vehicles, while Honda's will be reduced from 1.6 million vehicles to 1.2 million vehicles. This move is mainly to cope with the fierce competition from domestic automakers, especially BYD and Geely.
