Pony.ai and BAIC New Energy jointly develop L4 driverless models to accelerate the implementation of autonomous driving travel services

On November 2, Pony.ai and BAIC New Energy announced a collaboration to develop L4 driverless models, with the goal of realizing a fully unmanned commercial Robotaxi mass-produced model. The two parties will work together to develop a fully unmanned Robotaxi model based on the Alpha T5 model of the Polar Fox and the seventh-generation autonomous driving software and hardware system solutions of Pony.ai. The first batch of Alpha T5 Robotaxi models of the Polar Fox are planned to be completed and launched in 2025. Through the cooperation, the two parties hope to deploy at least a thousand BAIC New Energy Robotaxi vehicles in the domestic market to promote the commercialization of fully unmanned Robotaxi.
