Tata Group and Powerchip cooperate to build the first wafer fab in India

India's Tata Group is working with Taiwan's Powerchip to build its first wafer fab in India. The plant is expected to produce 50,000 wafers per month, covering a variety of mature nodes such as 28nm, 40nm, 55nm, 90nm, and 110nm. Its goal is to produce 3 billion chips per year for various market segments, including high-power computers, electric vehicles, telecommunications, and power electronics.
