ROHM Group subsidiary SiCrystal and STMicroelectronics expand SiC wafer supply agreement

SiCrystal, a subsidiary of Rohm Group, and STMicroelectronics (ST) announced the expansion of their SiC wafer supply contract. The contract involves the supply of 150mm SiC wafers produced in Nuremberg, Germany to ST in the next few years, with an estimated transaction value of over US$230 million. This move is aimed at meeting the global demand for SiC wafers in the automotive and industrial equipment sectors and enhancing supply chain flexibility.
