Shenzhen Gecko Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. has recently successfully obtained the qualification of a special vehicle manufacturer in the latest "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Production Enterprises and Products" published on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which marks that Gecko Auto has officially entered the field of special vehicle production. Gecko New Energy Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. is a new energy commercial vehicle company dedicated to the development of advanced digital chassis, and its business covers research and development, design, production and sales. The company was initiated by Asia's largest automotive design company, Art, and others, and was led by CATL and Jitu Logistics. Since its establishment in February 2022, the company's registered capital has increased to 20.4377 million yuan. Gecko New Energy Vehicles has performed very well in the industry, with a total of nearly 80,000 domestic sales orders and more than 80,000 related orders in overseas markets. At present, the first phase of Gecko Auto's investment is being carried out in the Shenzhen-Shantou Industrial Internet Manufacturing Innovation Industrial Park, and plans to build a 9,000-square-meter production plant and introduce a special vehicle production line. It is expected that after obtaining qualifications in the third quarter, the company will mainly carry out professional vehicle business, including caravans, refrigerated trucks, command vehicles, ambulances, etc. Co-founder Li Jiwei said the new model will begin production in Shenshan in 2025.
