Panasonic plans to start production of 46800 batteries in Japan and the United States in 2024

Panasonic plans to start mass production of 46800 cells at its plant in Wakayama, Japan, between July and September 2024, with production also underway in the U.S. These new cells have five times the energy density of their 21700 counterparts.
