However, Ford denied that its systems had been hacked in any way and assured car owners that their information was safe. A Ford spokesperson said that after investigation, it was determined that Ford's systems or customer data had not been hacked. The incident involved a third-party supplier and a small number of publicly disclosed dealer business addresses, and the problem has been resolved.
