Updates in the foundry industry

TSMC plans to build seven factories this year, including five wafer fabs and two advanced packaging plants. Many semiconductor factories around the world have made new progress, such as UMC's Fab 12i factory in Singapore held a ceremony to start the third phase of expansion. At the same time, GlobalFoundries appointed Hong Qicai as president of Asia, and Samsung replaced the head of the DS department responsible for semiconductor business.
