Mai Chi Intelligent Driving has become independent from Megvii in 2024

Megvii's smart driving business has also been separated from Megvii in 2024. The company is called Mai Chi Zhixing and is seeking its first round of external financing. Chongqing government-backed funds are potential investors. In 2021, Megvii began to develop mass-produced L2+ assisted driving solutions. The project is jointly led by Sun Jian, former chief scientist of Megvii, and Liu Wei, now CEO of Mai Chi Zhixing.
