Chairman of the European Parliament's Trade Committee revealed that China and Europe are about to reach a solution on import tariffs on electric vehicles

Bernd Lange, chairman of the European Parliament's trade committee, reportedly told German broadcaster n-tv that Brussels and Beijing are close to reaching a solution to the issue of tariffs on Chinese electric vehicle imports. Lange said, "We are close to an agreement: China can commit to supplying electric vehicles to the EU at the lowest price." But he did not provide specific details. The move is aimed at eliminating the distortion of competition through unfair subsidies, which is also the reason for the initial introduction of tariffs. The European Commission has not yet commented on this.
