SAIC Motor achieves solid-state battery mass production target through three-stage strategy

SAIC plans to achieve the mass production goal of solid-state batteries through a three-stage strategy. In the first stage, the product liquid content is 10%. The light-year battery (semi-solid state) currently used in Zhiji L6 has an energy density of more than 300Wh/kg and a range of more than one thousand kilometers. In the second stage, the product liquid content is 5%, and it is expected to be installed on a large scale next year, including Zhiji and other SAIC pure electric/hybrid models. In the third stage, the product liquid content is reduced to 0, that is, a full solid-state battery with an energy density of more than 400Wh/kg, which is planned to be mass-produced in 2026.
