AMD MI300X chip helps reduce AI power consumption

AMD's MI300X chip demonstrates the efficiency of making larger chip packages. The chip has 153 billion transistors distributed across 12 chips, paired with 24 HBM3 chips, providing 192GB of storage capacity. By optimizing the Infinity Fabric interconnect, the MI300X is able to reduce the energy required for data transmission, thereby reducing AI power consumption.
