Due to Argentina's ongoing economic problems, production at Volkswagen Group's Pacheco plant has been severely affected. The plant is responsible for producing the Amarok Pickup and Taos SUV, but due to the inability to obtain imported parts, the factory's shutdown period began in January and lasted until late March. Meanwhile, production at General Motors' Rosario plant also resumed in mid-April, but it was closed again in the last week of the month, affecting the assembly of the Chevrolet Tracker.
