The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States has released the final version of the ITS spectrum management regulations, fully supporting C-V2X vehicle networking technology. The regulations require the end of DSRC operations within the next two years. C-V2X technology will be used for direct communication between vehicles and infrastructure to improve traffic safety and traffic efficiency. The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced a plan to deploy C-V2X networks nationwide by 2036, with 100% coverage of highways and 85% coverage of intersections in 75 major cities.
