Pure Lithium acquires Dimien to boost lithium metal vanadium battery development

Pure Lithium, a US lithium metal battery company, has successfully acquired the assets of Dimien, a vanadium cathode material company. This move will accelerate the development and commercialization of Pure Lithium's lithium metal vanadium batteries. Dr. Brian Schultz, founder and CEO of Dimien, will serve as Pure Lithium's vice president of business development and technology, and other members of Dimien's team will also join Pure Lithium. The zeta vanadium oxide (ZVO) developed by Dimien is a low-cost, high-energy-density vanadium-based cathode material that has a lower risk of causing fire than traditional NMC and NCA cathodes. ZVO is produced locally in North America and does not require the use of minerals such as nickel, cobalt and graphite.
