Domestic car sales in Thailand continued to decline in April, down 21.49% year-on-year to 46,738 units. The trend was similar to that in March, when car sales fell 29.83%. Thailand is Southeast Asia's largest car export hub and a production base for top global automakers such as Toyota and Honda, mainly producing pickup trucks. However, Malaysia has surpassed Thailand to become Southeast Asia's second-largest car market, second only to Indonesia.
