X-Fab adopts Soitec substrates to provide silicon carbide foundry services

X-Fab Corporation recently announced that they have adopted substrates provided by Soitec to provide silicon carbide foundry services from their facility in Lubbock, Texas. Soitec will begin to provide SmartSiC™ wafers at the X-FAB facility for the production of silicon carbide (SiC) power devices. This collaboration follows the successful completion of an evaluation phase, during which X-FAB Texas produced SiC power devices on 150mm SmartSiC™ wafers.
