UMC announced that its total investment in Fab 12i P3 in Singapore has reached US$5 billion. The plant will become one of Singapore's most advanced semiconductor wafer foundries, focusing on providing 22/28nm process technology to meet the growing demand in areas such as 5G, Internet of Things and automotive electronics.
