BYD has the longest history of self-developed chips and is involved in many types of chips. In 2004, BYD Microelectronics, the predecessor of BYD Semiconductor, was established to engage in the research and development and production of power semiconductors, intelligent control MCUs, intelligent sensors and optoelectronic semiconductors, using the IDM model. In the fields of industry, home appliances, new energy and consumer electronics, BYD Semiconductor has successfully mass-produced IGBT/silicon carbide, IPM, PIM, MCU, current sensors and other products.
