Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, referred to as "Beijing Yizhuang", is actively building a national integrated circuit industry highland. Since the introduction of SMIC's first 12-inch wafer manufacturing production line in China in 2002, after more than 20 years of development, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone has formed an integrated circuit industry cluster led by SMIC, North Huachuang, Huazhuo Precision, and Chiptronix, covering the entire chain of design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, equipment, components and materials, and has gathered more than 200 key integrated circuit companies, with an output value of more than 40 billion yuan in the first half of 2024.
