Chery Automobile is looking for a response strategy to the EU's anti-subsidy duties on Chinese electric vehicles, including promoting the localization of parts. Through cooperation with Spanish partner EV Motors, Chery's flagship Omoda 5 electric car planned to be produced at its Barcelona plant will be delayed until October 2025. The move is aimed at avoiding high anti-subsidy duties by meeting the EU's minimum content requirements.
