SAIC Volkswagen's second factory has been renovated and upgraded, and will soon produce new models

After nearly 30 years of operation, SAIC Volkswagen's second plant is scheduled to undergo a comprehensive renovation and upgrade on May 24. Ten months later, the plant will begin producing a new model jointly developed by SAIC and Audi. This cooperation began in 2016. After eight years of hard work, the two companies finally announced on May 20 that they will launch a new intelligent digital platform focused on the Chinese market. The platform will first launch three pure electric models, covering the B-class and C-class car segments, and the first new car is scheduled to be launched in 2025.
