On May 25, the second phase of the CATL Luoyang base project was officially launched, and nine industry chain companies signed contracts to settle down, including the Jueneng power battery structural parts R&D and production project, the Radiant cooling system project, etc. The base is the thirteenth new energy battery production base in the world jointly built by Luoyang and CATL. The first phase of the project covers an area of ​​about 1,700 acres, with an investment of about 14 billion yuan, and is about to enter the trial production stage. The second phase of the project will include facilities such as battery cell plant, module plant, battery cell finished product warehouse, etc., aiming to further expand the production capacity of high-end new energy batteries.
