AMD's earnings also showed a sharp drop in revenue for the company's gaming division. In the quarter, gaming revenue fell 69% year-over-year to $462 million. The decline caused the division's operating income to almost turn into a loss, falling 96% to $12 million from $208 million in the same period last year. AMD attributed the decline in gaming GPU revenue primarily to "decreased semi-custom revenue."
