Japan's new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba formulated a new aid plan on November 11, requiring the Japanese government to provide at least 10 trillion yen (about 65 billion US dollars) to support the development of the semiconductor and artificial intelligence (AI) industries by fiscal 2030. The plan aims to attract more than 50 trillion yen in public and private investment and will be included in the "comprehensive economic plan" in November.
