US AI chip design company Tenstorrent cooperates with the Japanese government to train chip designers

Tenstorrent, an American AI chip design company, has reached a cooperation with the Japanese government to train 200 chip designers for Japan in the next five years, with a total contract value of approximately US$50 million. Starting in April 2025, Japanese engineers will work with Tenstorrent's senior management, including CEO Jim Keller and chief CPU architect Lian Weihan.
