Audi and NXP jointly launch UWB technology, leading a new era of contactless digital keys!

Audi has partnered with NXP to apply the latter's Trimension NCJ29Dx series ultra-wideband (UWB) precision ranging IC to its new high-end electric platform (PPE) to achieve a non-contact digital key function. This series of products can provide accurate and secure real-time positioning, allowing drivers to unlock and start the car non-contactly through smart mobile devices or other UWB-based devices. The Audi Q6 e-tron equipped with this technology is expected to be launched in 2024.
