Taiwan's TSMC recently announced that although they have established advanced wafer fabs in the United States, Europe and Japan, they will not transfer the most advanced 2-nanometer chip production technology overseas. TSMC said that if they want to produce 2-nanometer chips overseas, it will take several years of preparation and planning. Currently, the wafer fab they are building in Arizona, USA is expected to start production in early 2025. Initially, it will use 4-nanometer process technology, and the monthly production capacity is expected to be between 20,000 and 30,000 pieces.
