LG Energy Solution signs five-year battery supply agreement with Rivian

On November 7, South Korea's LG Energy Solution announced that it had reached a five-year large-scale battery supply agreement with Rivian. The agreement involves the supply of 67 GWh of next-generation cylindrical 4695 batteries, which have a diameter of 46 mm and a height of 95 mm. LG Energy Solution said that this supply contract will promote the diversification of its product and customer portfolio. In particular, the 46 series batteries provided this time use LG New Energy's unique high-nickel NCMA (nickel, cobalt, manganese, aluminum) material, which maximizes energy density while ensuring safety. These batteries will be produced at LG Energy Solution's plant in Arizona, USA.
