The new BMW 5 Series is the first to be equipped with V2X technology

BMW announced that the new BMW 5 Series, which will be produced from January 2025, will be the first model equipped with "Vehicle-to-Internet-Cloud Integration" (V2X) technology. V2X technology is one of the key technologies to promote high-level autonomous driving. It has currently realized three active safety warning functions: emergency braking warning (EBW), red light running warning (RLVW) and intersection collision warning (ICW).
