Toyota, Mazda and Subaru jointly develop next-generation engines

Japan's three automakers, Toyota, Mazda and Subaru, announced that they will jointly develop the next generation of engines. The three companies plan to use their respective technological accumulation to make internal combustion engines compatible with alternative fuels such as e-fuels and biofuels, and seek multi-path development, combined with electrification equipment, to cope with strict emission restrictions.
