Volkswagen Anhui to adopt new electric vehicle architecture, postpone new product launch

Volkswagen Anhui announced that its ID. series models will switch from the original MEB platform to the CEA architecture in cooperation with Xiaopeng Motors. Since the first model equipped with the CEA architecture is expected to achieve SOP by the end of 2025, the new ID. model originally planned to be launched next year will be postponed. The hardware design of the model will remain unchanged, but the electronic and electrical architecture will switch to CEA, and the software that has been developed or is close to completion needs to be re-adapted on the CEA architecture.
