Asahi Kasei to build battery parts factory in Canada

Japanese chemical company Asahi Kasei announced that it will build an electric vehicle battery parts factory in Ontario, Canada, mainly to supply products to Honda Motor's electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Canada. Asahi Kasei plans to invest approximately US$1.3 billion in the new battery parts factory, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and put into production in 2027.
