Webasto expands battery plant in South Korea

German automotive parts supplier Webasto announced the expansion of its electric vehicle battery factory in Dangjin, South Korea. The expanded factory will be called "Dangjin Plant 2" and will include more than 15,000 square meters of production and storage space and ensure an additional production capacity of 100,000 batteries per year. The expansion will enable Webasto to produce a total of 300,000 electric vehicle battery packs per year from 2025 at the factory that opened in 2022.
