Audi plans to cut jobs as profits fall

German carmaker Audi is considering reducing its workforce by cutting non-productive positions, with thousands of jobs expected to be affected. According to Manager Magazine, the layoffs are mainly concentrated in the company's indirect positions, such as in the research and development department, and more than 2,000 positions are expected to be cut. Audi aims to cut about 15% of its workforce, with 4,500 indirect jobs in Germany alone being affected.
