Kioxia, a Japanese NAND Flash manufacturer, announced that it will invest 36 billion yen (about 1.675 billion yuan) in the next three years to develop the next generation of more power-efficient memory for AI, with the goal of commercializing it in the first half of the 2030s. Kioxia pointed out that it will develop memory based on CXL (Compute Express Link), which is more power-efficient than current DRAM and has a faster read speed than existing NAND Flash.
