The side of the car maintains the coupe style and is equipped with dynamic black double five-spoke wheels. The seats may be updated to the same sports style as the new Model 3. At the rear of the car, the new car also has significant changes, especially the adoption of a through-type taillight design that echoes the front face. In addition, the new Model Y will include 5-seater and 7-seater models, with the 5-seater version internally codenamed "Juniper". It is reported that the Chinese version of the 7-seat Model Y is almost a "special edition" model designed specifically for the Chinese market.
