TSMC's 1nm process wafer fab is located in Taiwan's Chiayi Science Park

TSMC has decided to locate its 1nm process wafer fab in Taiwan's Chiayi Science Park instead of the United States as previously planned. TSMC founder Morris Chang said the decision was made to protect the company's core technological interests. TSMC will also invest NT$1 trillion to build a new wafer fab to consolidate its leading position in the chip foundry field.
