Gearbox Industry Overview and Classification

As the core part of the vehicle transmission system, the automobile transmission is responsible for coordinating the engine speed and the actual driving speed of the wheels to achieve the best engine performance. It can change the vehicle driving force and driving speed while keeping the engine speed and torque unchanged. According to the operation mode and structural principle, automobile transmissions are mainly divided into manual transmissions and automatic transmissions. The latter is further divided into automatic mechanical transmissions (AMT), hydraulic automatic transmissions (AT), dual clutch transmissions (DCT) and continuously variable transmissions (CVT).
