Domestic IGBT manufacturers are emerging in the new energy vehicle market

Domestic IGBT manufacturers such as BYD Semiconductor, Star Semiconductor, and Times Electric have made remarkable performances in the new energy vehicle market. Their products are widely used in key components such as electric control systems, high-voltage chargers, air conditioning systems, and DC charging piles. BYD Semiconductor has become the only domestic automaker with the ability to operate the IDM model of the entire IGBT industry chain. In addition, China Resources Microelectronics has established the first fully domestically-owned 8-inch power device wafer production line in China; Huahong Semiconductor is the world's first 8-inch integrated circuit chip manufacturer to provide field-stop insulated gate bipolar transistor (FS IGBT) mass production technology; Silan Microelectronics ranks tenth in the global IGBT discrete device market share.
