Ford applies for patent for puddle light design

Ford Motor Company has applied for a patent for a puddle lamp-mounted recognition system that can read the driver's vein pattern. By installing a palm image sensor in the puddle lamp of the car's rearview mirror, the palm vein pattern illuminated by near-infrared light and reflected from the user's palm can be detected.
