Binhai Energy to start construction of 8.2 billion yuan negative electrode material base

On May 27, Binhai Energy announced that the 50,000-ton front end of the 200,000-ton negative electrode material integrated project of its subsidiary Inner Mongolia Xiangfu New Energy is about to start construction. The project is located in Shangdu Industrial Park, Huitengxile Green Economic Development Zone, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia. The total investment is expected to be 8.2 billion yuan and will be built in two phases. Binhai Energy acquired Xiangfu New Energy in 2023, crossing the field of new energy materials, and realized the trial production of 40,000-ton back-end finished product lines in July of that year, and put into production and commissioning of 18,000-ton self-owned graphitization product lines at the end of November, achieving sales of more than 6,000 tons of negative electrode materials and products throughout the year.
